Start the day in Siena, with a guided tour led by a knowledgeable English speaking guide.

Meet your English-speaking driver at your hotel and set off, in full comfort aboard a state-of-the-art private vehicle, to explore Tuscany and discover its most tantalizing flavors! Admire Piazza del Campo, where the Palio horse competition takes place, learn all about Siena’s traditional heritage and admire the town’s spectacular Duomo (availability/opening hours TBD).

Follow your guide through the picturesque Medieval cobblestone alleys and discover the best “bottega” (local deli) in town.

Browse the shelves crammed with tempting specialties and taste the best local prosciutto. Continue on through alleyways and below arches to the best cafè in town to savor two luscious sweets, Siena’s most celebrated culinary staples both dating back to the Middle Ages: soft, intense almond-meal ricciarelli and panforte senes, the local “strong bread” (literally!) made with candied and dried fruit and rich in spices.

At the end of the tour travel on through the Tuscan countryside to a charming family-owned estate with bountiful grounds.

The estate has bountiful vineyards and olive groves which produce organic wines and extra virgin olive oil. Welcomed by the estate staff, proceed into the typical farmhouse (or weather permitting the open-air terrace, which offers spectacular views of San Gimignano’s ancient towers!) and enjoy a memorable tasting of the estate’s premium extra virgin olive oils (natural and flavored) and of 4 estate wines (including Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG and Chianti Colli Senesi). The tasting will be followed by a mouth-watering typical luncheon, including the best local specialties and wines.

After lunch, head to San Gimignano for a stroll.
