Morning visit of a family-owned Salumi factory, where you will learn about the different processes of production of the famous Capocollo di Martina Franca, a salumi delicacy produced only in Puglia and exported worldwide. This factory is one of the top producers of salumi in the area, get ready to see and smell the fantastic aroma of salumi! Enjoy a light lunch including salumi, bread and focaccia paired with some local wine.
In the afternoon visit a local winery driving among the beautiful scenery of the Itria Valley landscape. You will meet the owner that will show you around the vineyards, will tell you stories about the grape harvest, show you an old Masseria dating back to 1600 and the old trulli dating back to 1500 CE where farmers used to sleep and stay during the harvest, take you for a tour of the pressing area and barrel rooms and finally in the tasting area. You will then taste different wines made with indigenous grapes that grow only in that area of Puglia.
